Making the Bucket List a Bucket Book
I am a firm believer in creating a bucket list. More so, I believe that people need to have certain experiences throughout their lives. Without some of these experiences, (dare I say it?) life would not have been complete. While everyone has their own ideas of what they want to accomplish, I think specific actions are needed in order to have lived a full life.
- Do something that truly petrifies you- I obviously don't mean poke out an eye ball, but sky diving or swimming with sharks would definitely count
- Take care of someone under age 2 for 24 hours, you'll thank your parents for keeping you
- Be spontaneous- get married in Vegas! Or for those of us, not so inclined to booze up and spout love sonnets, dancing a jig in the middle of the road-just because you felt like it
- Act silly- sometimes it's hard to break out of what you should or should not do. Let it go!
- Laugh at a horribly bad joke, even if it is your own
- Keep silent for an entire day- it's amazing what you will discover
- Write in a journal faithfully for a month straight, you might find yourself writing for longer
- Swim in a body of water bigger than a bathtub
- Sing in the shower- i hear vocals sound better in there
- Dance like you do when you're in front of your mirror
- Volunteer in your community- chances are, you will feel transformed as you help to transform the situation around you
- Paint. I didn't say paint well, or paint a mural. Just get in there, get dirty and create.
